THORNDALE FAIR FLOAT – we won first and had lots of fun! Special thanks to Dave Young for providing the Trailer, Tractor and driving us with his truck, John Elliott for the straw, Rose Duffin for her rendition of “Country Roads”, Charlene & Keith for leading the singers – Roy, Diane, Chris, Yvonne E, Yvonne M and Elaine.
We Make – You Bake” This year it will be apple and Blueberry Pie Filling at a cost of $15. same as last year. These pies can be ordered for Nov. 16 by phoning Joyce Robinson 519-461-1196. Orders for Oct. are closed.
Oct. 5th and Nov. 16th. We need helpers those day starting at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Come for a hour or two or the WHOLE day. We have coffee breaks and lunch (pizza). Don’t miss out on the FUN!!!
Join us for Bible Study starting Tues. Oct. 6 from 7:00–9:00 p.m. We warmly invite you to join us for a weekly Bible Study as we explore the letters to the Corinthians, written by the Apostle Paul. Together, we will discover the wisdom, encouragement, correction, and hope found in these powerful letters and consider how they speak to our lives and faith today. Whether you are new to Bible Study or have been studying Scripture for years, you are welcome. Come ready for thoughtful discussion, fellowship, and encouragement as we grow together in God’s Word. Sun. Oct. 11 – donations for St. Marys Food Bank gratefully appreciated. Suggestions include: Canned Pasta, Canned vegetables, Rice, Pancake Mix, Lunch size Juice Boxes, Toilet Paper.
Sun. Oct. 18 – Thorndale Anniversary Service at 11:00 am. A pot luck lunch will follow the service. Finger foods are great! Coffee, tea and cold beverages are provided. Note – no service at Browns today.
Tues. Oct. 20 – Thorndale United Church Annual Beef Supper will be held at Thorndale Community Centre – 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. Adults – $25.00, Children 6 – 14: $10.00, Children under 5 – Free. Dine-in & Take-out available. Contact Bob Graham 519-461-0463 or your regular ticket seller for tickets.
Sun. Oct. 25 – Browns Anniversary Service at 11 am. Lunch to follow. Note – no service at Thorndale today.

Sun. Nov. 8 – We are having a fund raiser to help cover some of the costs of the Fellowship hall renovations. The entertainment is “Frankie and the Fairlanes”, they play 50’s & 60’s music. First show will be a 3 pm at Thorndale United Church and a 2nd show at 7 pm. Join us for this celebration of the music and memories from the golden age of television! From Elvis to Elton, from Jerry Lee to Jim Croce, Frankie and the Fairlanes have tuned in an amazing show with special guests, lots of laughs and some great TV theme songs guaranteed to have you singing along.
